Boeing estimates CIS’s demand for jets at 1,230 units in 20 years
MOSCOW, Jul 17 (PRIME) -- Air carriers of Russia and other CIS countries will need around 1,230 jets, including 830 narrow-body and 160 wide-body aircraft, worth U.S. $140 billion in the next 20 years, U.S. industrial producer Boeing said on Monday.
About one fourth of this volume will be used to replace old vehicles.
The company also said that Russia and other CIS economies are recovering following several years of low crude prices and geopolitical instability. It expects that the gross domestic product (GDP) dynamic will become positive in 2017, and GDP will grow 2% on average in the long-term.
